    Shop hand

    The successful candidate must manage time efficiently with little supervision while taking pride and ownership of their responsibility to prepare, maintain, and manage the fleet, equipment and shop inventory.

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

    Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract or Class 3 or 1 an asset and are preferred

    Previous fleet experience including use of hitches and trailers

    Some mechanical aptitude and knowledge of general motor vehicle maintenance

    Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks while managing time and work load

    Demonstrated ability to work independently and with little supervision

    Strong attention to detail

    Willing to accept after hour calls when necessary

    Responsibilities:

    Ensure fleet readiness including but not limited to:  ensuring the exterior and interior cleanliness of fleet vehicles, performing periodic vehicle inspections, and inventory and replenish fleet supplies as needed

    Coordination of daily shop efforts and obligations to ensure shop is on task and efficient 

    Work with Operations and Maintenance of equipment and consumables inventory

    Accurately maintaining a comprehensive inventory of equipment and consumables

    Providing useable and serviced equipment and supplies to field employees in a timely manner

     

    Schedule: 5 days on and 2 days off

    Electronic Technician / Instrumentation 

    Technician will be a member of the Maintenance department responsible for primarily addressing mechanical issues and conduct preventative maintenance on all components of equipment. 

    Specific requirements:

    Repair and maintain all Boreal equipment, which includes: Electrical and electronic systems, Recording and control software

    Assist and support maintenance staff

    Updates and modification requests

    Perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis

    Ordering of new electrical parts

    Training of maintenance and operations personnel on electrical systems and control software and hardware

    Perform inspections, maintenance of gauges and cables

    Education & experience:

    Finished Electronics and/or Instrumentation schooling by a recognized institution

    Experience is considered an asset

    Advanced understanding of technical concepts is required

    Good understanding and experience with basic hydraulic systems

    Experienced with electric over hydraulic / air and PLC is an asset but not required 

    Valid class 5 driver’s license – Drivers abstract must be provided

    Knowledge of electronic control systems, QA-QC, and troubleshooting

    Must be self-motivated and have good computer and communications skills

    Schedule: 8 days on 6 days off

    Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

    Responsibilities:

    Ability to interpret and maintain work orders and technical manuals on equipment; diagnose faults or malfunctions; adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.

    Perform inspections of completed repairs to ensure thorough and quality repairs are completed, ensuring that the unit is suitable for return to service in the field.

    Prioritizes repairs; tracks and maintains preventative maintenance schedule for all units ensures the units are 100% functional when dispatched to the field.

    Competencies:

    Knowledge of operation of fracturing, twin and Single pumpers and truck and trailer an asset but not required.

    Must have diagnostic and trouble shooting skills, be Self-motivated and have good computer and communication skills.

    Ability to read and understand equipment and vehicle repair manuals

    Education:

    Journeyman Heavy Duty Certification or Registered Apprentice 

    Adequate tool selection for Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade

    Schedule: 8 days on 6 days off

  • Payroll Technician (Part Time)

    Bonnett’s Energy Corp. is seeking a qualified individual for a Payroll Technician position in Grande Prairie. This part-time position is responsible for participating as part of a small payroll administration team for 200+ employees in 2 provinces (Alberta & British Columbia).

    Applicants must have full-cycle payroll experience with solid systems/payroll process knowledge. The Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation and relevant experience will be an asset.  The candidate will be an active participant in the payroll processing.  Applicants must have strong computer skills including Excel and Word, an eye for detail, along with well-developed customer service, organizational, analytical and communication abilities.  In addition, they must have proven time management skills, have the ability to follow current processes and be able to effectively deal with all levels in the organization.

    Knowledge of Dynamics Great Plains Software is an asset. Candidate will be required to perform semi-monthly payroll processing in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
